What to do?

What to do when the house we want to live in is not necessarily in the town we want to live in? We went to look again yesterday and got the tour of town … it was a little more than we needed to know about the new WalMart and the location of the nearest mall. So … big decisions lay ahead.

The good news: I finished the C25K running program last Sunday, and am now working on becoming a one hour runner. My neighbor and I have been at it for the full nine weeks of the program (ten as of today), and it feels good. Sean even started … so there may be a race in our future when he’s done.

I finished Mom’s sweater a couple of weeks ago, and am now working on finishing Backyard Leaves, which I put aside some time last year. It’s in the same yarn as my Fetching gloves, so they’ll make a cute match.

Another quick thing: I was looking at my friend Jeff’s blog yesterday, and it turns out he submitted a piece of music to KnitKnit that has been chosen to be part of an upcoming show. You can read all about it on his site, and you can also hear a couple of friends of ours on the recording.

So back to a quiet Sunday morning of knitting and decision making.

Blog revival

Lately I’ve been running, knitting, sewing, watching a bunch of movies, and spending a good deal of time on Ravelry. I also started watching Heroes online. I’ll post pics of my two Built by Wendy projects shortly. A top and a dress. Both cute.

We also went to Maine with Sean’s family, and Mexico in June. Both great trips.

Harold Hunter

Harold Hunter

When I was in high school I met a bunch of kids who changed my life. There was a big cast of characters and most of them have gone on to do great things. One of them was Harold. He was full of life and funny as hell. I hadn’t seen him for a while but I will never forget him.

Oh yeah

We’re going on vacation!! I meet Sean in Seattle in a few weeks, then we’ll drive toward San Francisco and fly out from there about a week and a half later. Maybe I can find the winery that makes my favorite discontinued wine, Edmeades Pinot Noir. I long for it.

Mint-tea

I’m wiped out today because we had a show last night. But I’m inducing that refreshing feeling with my favorite homemade Stash English Breakfast iced tea and piles of peppermint Eclipse mints. (None of that wintergreen dirty socks flavor for me.) On the Eclipse site they have these arrows in the image on the right but no link. I had to view the code to see if I was missing something, which is annoying of them and nerdy of me.

My friends just had a baby boy, and though I haven’t spoken to them yet, I hear his initials are S.O.N. which is awesome. I can’t wait to meet him. I see a baby sweater in my near future.

So yeah, I’m tired and haven’t had a chance to sift through the vacation pics yet. But here’s a pic of Sean and me at my aunt and uncle’s farm.
