Someone on Craigslist points out that those NYC subway workers do have it pretty rough, and definitely deserve a raise:

We played with Chris Brokaw in Cambridge and on the Vineyard last weekend. It was our first time leaving Dwight alone, and I worried a little, but he had a great time, and so did we. We had a house in Chilmark all to ourselves, some amazing food at Offshore Ale, where we played, and ran into a couple of friends too. It was a really good time.

I’m still working out the kinks, and have a bit more to do, but the functionality of the site is finally coming together. I even posted some photos on Flickr today.

This site is a mess… but I’ve had quite a hard time creating a WordPress template that functions as I want it to. I’m still adding Flickr photos, so take a look… and stay tuned. Thanks.

This story on photo captions run by two different news wires is interesting. I just can’t even being to fathom what the people of New Orleans are going through.
Sean and I had an amazing anniversary. We both went with the “cotton anniversary” theme, as we’ve been married for two years yesterday. He got us tickets to see M.I.A in September, and these (cotton) Simple sneakers I’d been wanting. So observent and thoughtful.
We had an awesome dinner at Zon’s, and entrusted Dwight to wander the house freely while we were gone. When we returned he hadn’t done anything too bad, but he did chew on a yarn bob and baby bootie I’d knit. Oh well. It wasn’t anything special.

Two years ago today Señor McCarthy and I tied the knot at the Crosby Mansion in Brewster. Sean and his friends used to skate in the pool there when they were kids, as it had gone downhill and had been abandoned by the Crosbys… But during the 90s a group of Brewster residents began restoring the place, and we were lucky enough to come across it. We had an awesome bonfire on the beach afterward… it was the best day of my life.
Right after the ceremony in the garden we walked out to the lawn. When I looked down at my bouquet (please pardon the watermarked photo), there was a ladybug with two dots on its wings. It flew from my flowers to Sean’s shoulder, and then it flew away.

There’s a story about a relatively new hard-hitting gang in the next town over from where we live. That’s right. They started in the produce section of my grocery store. They’re an intimidating bunch, as reported in The Dig. They go by the name, ahem, “Fruit and Veggies.” Aiight?

We broke some of our mugs recently (they don’t bounce like we thought they would). Note to self: Replacements, Ltd. has ‘em. And they have the extra veggie bowl I’ve been wanting too. My Mom replaced one of my Grandma’s crystal water goblets that broke two Xmases ago from here. What an ingenious business idea.
